Ingredients

  • 8 Oreo cookies
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 tbsp sugar optional
  • Ice cubes optional
  •

Method

  1. Crush the Cookies: Break the Oreo cookies into small pieces by placing them in a ziplock bag and gently crushing with a rolling pin, or pulse them briefly in a food processor. This creates the perfect texture for blending while leaving some cookie chunks for an authentic Oreo experience.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Transfer the crushed Oreos to a blender. Make sure to get all the cookie crumbs for maximum flavor.
  3. Add Liquid: Pour the cold milk into the blender with the crushed cookies. Using cold milk helps maintain a refreshing temperature and creates a better texture in the final drink.
  4. Sweeten (Optional): Add the tablespoon of sugar if you prefer a sweeter drink. This step is optional as the Oreos already provide significant sweetness to the beverage.
  5. Blend Until Smooth: Run the blender on medium speed for about 30-45 seconds or until the mixture is well combined and smooth. Don't over-blend as some small cookie bits add nice texture to the drink.
  6. Serve: Pour the blended mixture into a tall glass. If desired, add ice cubes for an extra chilled treat. For a special presentation, garnish with crushed Oreo pieces on top.
  7. Enjoy Immediately: Serve right away while the drink is fresh and the cookie pieces are perfectly suspended in the milk.

Notes

  • For a thicker shake-like consistency, use less milk or add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • You can customize this drink with different Oreo varieties like mint, golden, or seasonal flavors.
  • For a dairy-free version, substitute with almond, soy, or oat milk.
  • The drink will separate if left standing, so stir before drinking if not consumed immediately.
